Emissions reduction

Reducing environmental impacts is a focus of our safety, health, environment and quality performance. Cement Australia is committed to measuring our performance, continuous improvement, and promoting the best practice in our industry.

Cement Australia is adopting an emissions monitoring and reporting standard based on the recommendations of the Cement Sustainability Initiative (CSI). Particulates emission and, at some operations, NOx and SOx emissions, are monitored on a continuous basis, with supplementary monitoring of other combustion process by-products and trace substances carried out on at least an annual basis.
