The BSC is focused on servicing our 1500 internal clients across a range of functions to effectively support them as best we can in their efforts to service Cement Australia’s wider external Customer base.
The range of functions at the BSC is varied and includes everything from finance, technology and corporate services to marketing and sales support, supply chain, project management and planning, human resources, knowledge and skills management to safety, quality, health and environment.

A brief outline of each of these areas follows:
Finance and Corporate Services
Internal auditing functions, taxation management and group reporting for Cement Australia are all delivered via this key division. In addition, a Shared Services centre processes high volumes of transactions per month for Payroll, Accounts Payable and Credit Management functions.
The iServices operation has been divided into four teams aligned to the specific IT service requirements of Cement Australia. These four teams focus on specific technologies and functions, yet work collectively to provide seamless IT services to all of Cement Australia

Marketing and Sales
While regional members of the Sales team are located in country areas, the South Queensland sales team as well as the technical support personnel and sales administration people are located within the Business Support Centre.
From here, core sales activities are carried out, as are the important support functions that provide technical support and advice to customers state-wide, as well as crucial administrative functions that ensure customer records are kept current.
